The Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) is here to address the persistent problem of immigrant underemployment – the fact that extremely highly skilled people come to Toronto from all over the world and end up in low-skilled jobs. We want to make sure the Greater Toronto Area benefits from the untapped potential of immigrants, rather than wasting the tremendous skills and experience that they have to offer.

Hire Immigrants Ottawa (HIO) is an initiative that brings together employers, immigrant agencies and stakeholders to enhance employers’ ability to access the talents of skilled immigrants in the Ottawa area. The initiative was launched in 2006 as a response to a growing need to identify and address barriers and challenges employers face in attracting, hiring and integrating skilled immigrants into the labour force.

As an official provider of employment services through Employment Ontario, we provide customized support that meets the unique needs of jobseekers. Our Employment Consultants will work with you and offer job search support and guidance, including developing a tailored action plan, job matching and employment services.
