Inspired by her mother’s perseverance, Elke worked hard at school. She became fluent in English, Spanish, French and German and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in law, achieving the latter on scholarship at the London School of Economics with a focus on banking and finance. She went on to work as a lawyer with McCarthy Tetrault in London, UK, and Toronto, Canada. She founded Rubach Wealth in 2012.
